Hello,
We deleted your last message since it included extra and incorrect information beyond your main question. To clarify: the top prize is the Amazon gift card plus Wolfram|One for all team members, as listed in the Prizes section of our DevPost page.
Regarding the “$6,670 in cash” line, that part is automatically generated by DevPost. When we enter the “cash value” of the prizes, the platform displays it under the “in cash” heading, which unfortunately we can’t change. It simply represents the total estimated value of the prizes in that section.
We hope this clears up any confusion!

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Participation in this hackathon is entirely voluntary, and we welcome everyone to decide for themselves whether they’d like to join based on the prizes, the experience, or whatever factors they value.
That said, this discussion space is meant for clarifying questions, so we’ll need to remove posts that are purely opinion-based to keep things organized and useful for all participants.
We appreciate your understanding, and thank you again for considering Hacktivism!

It seems there’s been a misunderstanding about the prizes. The rewards for this hackathon include offerings from Amazon, Wolfram, Balsamiq, and .xyz, not just the gift card you keep mentioning. Many hackathons list the cash value of prizes for clarity, which is why DevPost displays them this way.
We also want to emphasize again that this hackathon is completely voluntary. If you don’t find the prizes worthwhile, you are under no obligation to participate.
That said, this discussion space is specifically for questions, not opinions. Since your message does not fall under that purpose, we will be removing this post again to keep the space clear and helpful for all participants.
Thank you for understanding.
